What we print
Presentation folders for Derby and Derbyshire businesses
A folder turns a loose stack of paper into something that looks deliberate, and it keeps your pack together on a busy desk. It earns its place when paperwork is handed over in person — a proposal, a report, a welcome pack, a quote left after a site visit.
We print presentation folders from our workshop in Alfreton, as part of our corporate stationery range. If everything you send goes by email as a PDF, you probably do not need them — and we would rather tell you that than sell you a box that sits in a cupboard.
A4 presentation folders
The standard folder for proposals, reports and contracts. A5 folders suit welcome packs and event programmes, but they are the exception.

Two creases and a flat spine so the folder closes around a thicker stack. The spine is wide enough to print on.
Get a priceBusiness card slits
Diagonal cuts in the pocket that hold your card in place — the one thing in the pack people tend to keep. Ordering business cards too? Tell us if they are an unusual size.

One pocket or two, glued or locking, with a straight, curved or angled edge so the top of each sheet is easy to see and grab.

Heavy board so it does not flop. Matt, soft-touch or gloss laminate, or uncoated if you want to write on it or keep it easy to recycle. Our print finishes guide compares them.

Folder artwork is set up flat on a template showing every cut and crease. Ask for it before your designer starts, or let us lay it out. See our print-ready artwork guide.

Size it for the pack you actually hand over
A folder is built around the paper going in it, not the other way round. Get that backwards and the sheets stick out of the top, or the cover bulges and will not close. Bring us a typical pack and we will tell you what it needs.
- A4 is the usual size — the closed folder is a little larger than A4 so the sheets slide in and out without catching.
- Flat or capacity spine. A single crease for a handful of sheets; two creases and a flat spine when the pack is thicker.
- One pocket or two, glued or held with locking tabs, with a straight, curved or angled edge.
- Business card slits cut into the pocket, sized for a standard card.
- Printed flat on heavy board, then cut and creased — so the inside and the pockets can be printed too.
Illustration, not a photo of a job: a folder as it is printed, flat, before it is cut and creased — front cover, inside panel, the spine creases and the pockets with business card slits.
What it costs
What decides the price
There is no fixed price list for folders, because each one is cut to its own shape. The flat sheet is much bigger than the finished folder, so size and the cut move the number more than anything. Send the details and you will get a real figure back, usually the same day.
- A digital proof, on the die-line, before anything prints
- Advice on spine and pockets from a sample of your pack
- Collect from the workshop in Alfreton, or we will deliver
Size for your normal pack, not your biggest. A folder built for the one enormous tender a year looks half-empty the rest of the time.
