What we print
Poster printing in every size that matters
Posters are the fastest way to say one thing loudly, and the easiest thing to get wrong by saying five things quietly. We print A3 to A0 in-house in Alfreton — sharp colour, proper stock, and honest advice about which size actually works where you are putting it.
Shop windows, events, exhibitions, notices, menus. If you are not sure what size you need, send a photo of the wall or window and we will tell you — it is a thirty-second job for us and it is the single thing people most often get wrong.
A3 posters
297 x 420mm. Indoor notices, window cards, menu boards, point of sale. The one you order twenty of because they are cheap enough to change monthly.

420 x 594mm. The retail promotion size — big enough to read from the pavement, small enough to fit a standard snap frame.

594 x 841mm. High-impact stuff for shop fronts and venues. This is where a poster stops being a notice and starts being advertising.

Viewing distance decides everything else
The most common poster mistake is designing it on a screen 400mm from your face and hanging it where people are ten metres away. Size, type and word count all follow from how far away the reader is standing — not from how much you have got to say.
- A3 for arm’s length — notices, menus, point of sale. Fine to carry detail.
- A2 and A1 from the pavement — one headline, one action, big type.
- A0 across a room — exhibitions and halls. Fewer words than you think.
- 300 DPI at final size, fonts embedded, PDF. A Canva export that looks fine as an A4 will fall apart at A0.
- Silk or gloss indoors; laminate anything in direct sun or it will curl and fade.
Printed in-house on our own large-format kit, which is why a same-week turnaround is realistic rather than a promise we pass down a chain.
What it costs
Poster pricing
A3 posters start at £25. Beyond that it is driven by size, stock and finishing, and there is no honest fixed list — an A0 laminated and mounted is a different animal to a stack of A3s. Send the size and quantity and we will give you a real number the same day.

- We will check your file resolution before printing, not after
- Collect from Alfreton or we will post them
Quantity moves the price more than size does — twenty A3s cost a lot less each than one. If you are printing a run, say so and we will price it properly.
