Our story
A family print shop that never left home
Printscene has been printing for businesses in Alfreton and across the East Midlands for over thirty years. We started small, we’re still family-run, and we still work out of the same workshop in Somercotes — which is exactly why the person who takes your call is usually the person who’ll print the job.
In that time we’ve gone from a print shop to a print, signage, graphics and embroidery outfit. Design, large-format printing, embroidery and fitting all happen in-house. Nothing gets farmed out to a trade printer three counties away and marked up on the way back.
That’s the bit that matters when something’s urgent, or when the artwork isn’t quite right, or when you need a van doing before Monday. We can just… go and do it.

Design, print, embroidery and fitting all happen here. One supplier, one invoice, nobody blaming anybody else.
Fast, but not sloppy
Quick turnaround is the point of a local printer. Cutting corners isn’t. We’ll tell you if a deadline is daft.
Artwork help included
Send us a file and we’ll check it properly. Haven’t got one? Our design team will sort it — that’s not an upsell.

We’re a workshop, not a showroom — but if you want to see a material, feel a paper stock or check a colour before you commit, that’s far easier in person. Give us a ring first so someone’s free.
