A business card is the cheapest thing you will ever print and the one people judge you on hardest. A flimsy card with a fuzzy logo says something about the business whether you meant it to or not. Ours start at 400gsm and go up from there.
We design and print business cards for tradespeople, salons, freelancers and startups across Derby, Derbyshire and the rest of the country. Custom business cards from your artwork, or we will draw it — and the card in the photo above is our own, so you can see exactly what we think good looks like.

400gsm silk or uncoated, single or double sided. The workhorse — and at 400gsm it still feels like a card rather than a raffle ticket.

Gloss, matte or soft-touch. Soft-touch is the one people notice — it feels like suede and it costs very little more than matte.

Spot UV gloss over a matte card, or foil stamping in gold, silver or rose gold. Also embossed and debossed. This is the “we mean business” end of the range.

Recycled stock, no-laminate options and low-ink designs. Worth knowing: a laminated card cannot be recycled, so if that matters to you, skip the lamination.

Nobody ever complained a card felt too good
Most of what makes a business card feel expensive is decided before anything is printed: the weight, the finish and whether the edges are cut cleanly. Ink is the easy part. This is where we would spend your money.
- 400gsm as standard — the flimsy 300gsm cards a lot of online printers default to are a false economy.
- Soft-touch lamination if you only change one thing. It is the finish people actually remark on.
- Spot UV over matte for contrast you can feel as well as see — logo gloss, background matte.
- Uncoated if people need to write on it. Nothing writes on gloss, and appointment cards live or die on that.
- Proofed before printing, and we check the bleed — artwork from a template is very often not print-ready.
Different stocks, different weights. Worth handling a few before you decide — ask and we will get samples to you.
