What we print
Letterhead printing for Derby and Derbyshire businesses
Even businesses that do almost everything by email keep a letterhead, because the one letter a year that has to go in the post is usually an important one — a quote, a contract, a reference, a formal notice. It should look like it came from a proper business.
We print letterheads from our workshop in Alfreton, from your artwork or set up by us. If you want the cards, slips and envelopes to match, our corporate stationery page covers the whole set.

We keep the artwork on file, so when the box runs out the reprint matches the last batch. Address changed? We update it first.

A letterhead has to work in your printer
Most letterheads are printed once by us and then fed through an office printer hundreds of times. That decides the paper more than looks do — which is why the usual mistake is a heavy, glossy sheet that looks lovely and jams on the first letter.
- A4, 210 x 297mm — the size every envelope, folder and office printer is built around.
- 100–120gsm. Lighter feels flimsy in the hand; heavier starts to jam office printers.
- Uncoated, so it takes a signature, a stamp and your own printing. Never laminated.
- Folds in three into a DL envelope, alongside a matching compliment slip.
- Room left at the foot for the company details a limited company has to show.
Illustration, not a photo of a job: an A4 letterhead with the logo and contact block at the top, company details at the foot, and the two folds that take it into a DL envelope.
What it costs
What decides the price
There is no fixed price list for letterheads — quantity, colour and paper change the number more than anything. Send those and you will get a real figure back, usually the same day.
- A digital proof to approve before anything is printed
- Paper chosen for your printer — our paper weight guide explains the numbers
- Collect from the workshop in Alfreton, or we will deliver
Letterheads last longer than people expect when most letters go by email — order what will see you through a year, not a round number.
