Who they suit
Magnetic signs for cars and vans you cannot, or would rather not, letter
A magnetic vehicle sign is your name, number and logo printed on a flexible magnetic panel that sits on the door. It goes on in seconds in the morning and comes off in seconds at night, with no adhesive and nothing left behind on the paint. Most people order a matching pair, one for each front door.
They are the answer when permanent graphics are not an option. If the vehicle is yours and works full time, permanent lettering or a wrap is usually the better job: see vehicle graphics and wraps.

Magnets suit some vehicles, and not others
A magnetic sign is a printed panel with a flexible magnetic back. It sits on the door while you are working and comes off in seconds when you are not. Before ordering, check the vehicle: the sign needs a flat steel panel to hold on to.
- Steel or iron panels only. Aluminium, fibreglass and many composite panels will not hold a magnet. A fridge magnet on the door is a quick test.
- Flat, not over trim. Creases, seams, ridges and trim reduce the contact and let an edge lift. We size the sign to the flat part of your door.
- Not on the bonnet. Heat and the airflow at the front make bonnets the wrong place. Doors, rear doors and tailgates are right.
- Want it on for good? Permanent lettering, part wraps and full wraps are on our vehicle graphics page.
Illustration, not a photo of a job: a magnetic sign sits on the flat part of a steel door and lifts off when you are done.
What it costs
What decides the price
There is no fixed price list for magnetic signs, because each pair is printed to your design and sized to your doors. The size, how many, and whether you need design help set the figure. Tell us the vehicle and what you want on it and you will get a real number back, usually the same day.
- A digital proof before anything is printed
- Sized to the flat part of your door, not a one-size panel
- Collect from the workshop in Alfreton, or we will deliver
Tell us the make and model and we will check the door panels are steel before you order.
